GENEALOGICAL INFORMATION
ON THIS SITE:

The Henderson DNA Project
A Family Tree DNA project for the surname Henderson, and its variants, to help trace back genealogies based on your DNA samples to the original Henderson lines.

First Hendersons Project
This project records the first Henderson ancestor from each family to immigrate to their new lands and try to find common ancestors within this group. This project requires your help and run entirely on the Internet.

Missing MacEanruigs BBS
This board is a place to put in your "Henderson" ancestor that you have run into a genealogical dead-end with. You need to register to use it to validate your email but that list is private and its free to use. Take advantage of it and good luck on your research.

View the Old Missing MacEanruigs Page
This is the old version of the board. It still has information on it but it won't be updated. Hopefully it will be helpful to you.

OTHER USEFUL SITES:
FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service
This is a free service hosted by the Church of Latter Day Saints. They have a lot of great resources for your research.

The International Internet Genealogical Society
Yet another great site hosted by Rootsweb. Important for searching for records from the Old World.

Ellis Island Records
A very organized site for searching for your ancestor who happened to land on Ellis Island. Very well organized with tons of historical information.

Immigrant Ship Transcribers Guild
This is an amazing site that grew out of Rootsweb. They transcribe ship logs from the original documents and include a searchable index of the information.

Social Security Death Index
This is the Social Security Index from the Ancestry.com website. It is still free to access and a great start to getting dates for your research.

USGenWeb Project
This volunteer run site is hosted by Rootsweb and contains a lot of resources for all over the United States. There are also pages for resources for individual states as well.

Cyndi's List of Genealogical Site
This is the premier list of genealogical resources on the Internet.

New Zealand Society of Genealogists
A good resource for original Scottish research and also a significant homeland to many Scottish lines in their own right.
