Maddox on his appointment to the office of President Emeritus of the Clan Henderson Society of the USA. The Chieftain appointed Commander Maddox to this position subsequent to the passing of a motion by the Society Executive Board that such an appointed office be officially recognized. The appointment was made in recognition of the continuing outstanding performance by Commander Maddox during his tenure as the Society's President. This included recognition of his traveling about the country for approximately nine years as both President and Head of the Bodyguard, representing the Clan and Society as both a convener and diplomat, which produced a substantial increase in membership while placing the name of Henderson before the public. Commander Maddox will continue to represent the Clan and Society at Scottish and Celtic events throughout the country, looking for those Henderson cousins who do not realize they are of Scottish descent. He asks that each of his cousins who are members of the Society check their current issue of An Canach for an indication of where he will be attending a local event and to come out to that event so he can meet and talk with each of you.
